The PORTIA Workspace
The
new PORTIA Workspace is almost here!
The PORTIA Workspace has been designed
to revolutionize how you use PORTIA and the way in which you manage your daily
activities and processing. The Workspace will support optimized navigation and
access to PORTIA functionality and will also support client designed workflows,
which will bring multiple tasks and actions together in one step.
Our Product
Development team collaborated with Microsoft resources to develop the PORTIA Workspace
with cutting edge technology. We will be utilizing .NET 3.0 Framework, the new
managed-code programming model for Windows. The Workspace supports optimized navigation
and access to PORTIA functionality and supports workflows bringing together multiple
tasks and actions to be managed in 1 step The PORTIA Workspace is built on PORTIA
v8.0 and is compatible with both XP and Vista operating systems.

features to look for during the video:
- The 'My PORTIA' palette is customizable
to meet client navigation needs
- The buttons on the zones run workflows - see
the sample workflow that, from one button click moves the user thru the PORTIA
windows to add a security, price it, buy it, and run a transaction summary report
- When
you run a workflow from a zone, you get back an Activity Detail message with metrics
on what happened during that workflow run (i.e. - # of failed imported records)
- The
Activity Detail message has live hyperlinks to run other workflows
- You can
transition 'behind' the Activity Detail view to see the actual workflow definition
- You
can build your own workflows with access to all PORTIA menu items and batch tasks
